Question:
I would like to know if there is any value to the crock I have. What was this crock used for? It has a floating mechanism inside and a spout outside that look original to its age. Pictures show a small chip in the glaze. This is the only flaw aside from rust marks. How can I clean the rust marks away without damaging it? Your help is appreciated. Thanks Jackie

Red Wing Refrigerator Jar
Question:
I have a Red Wing stackable refrigerator jar that belonged to my grandmother (who would now be 116 years old) that measures 5.5" across the top and 2.75" high that I am interested in selling. I see one very small crack that is about an inch long; otherwise it has no chips and the only flaws I see are very minute and are under the glazing. What is this worth? Alice

Red Wing 799, Prismatique Line, Belle Kogan designer
Question:
I recently bought a piece of Redwing Pottery which is 14 1/2" tall and about 4 1/2" wide at the top and the bottom. When looking down on it or looking at the bottom,it looks like a Jewish Star (six points) and is a very soft orange mat finish on the outside and white on the inside. On the bottom it says REDWING USA 799 It is unchipped and the finish unblemished. If this is not enough info I will try to get help taking a picture and send it to you. Thank you for your help. Toba
Answer: Hi Toba
no pic necessary, thanks. Your vase is part of Belle Kogan’s Prismatique line, circa 1962. Tallest one, I think. The glaze is called Mandarin Orange. Value is around 135.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
