Here is a another piece to a collection I found. It’s got a jug like top, with one chip you can see below the company marking. Can you tell me what it’s worth, and when it was made? I’m not a collector of pottery, just a one man storage operation. These were in a unit that was abandoned. Can you tell me where the best place to market these would be? If they have antique value….I’d like them in the hands of a collector. Thanks, Will

Red Wing Nokomis 205 shape

Question:
I’d appreciate any information you might give me on my Red Wing Vase. It looks very much like the glaze ware "Nokomis" that’s pictured on your site. Height of vase is 7 1/2" and in ginger jar shape with rim on top. Bottom of vase is stamped blue ink in circle design "Red Wing Pottery" with word "ART" in center. #205 is hand etched to left of stamp-mark, and in pencil mark the letters or initials "KBL". Glaze is both flat and glossy, and colors of earthy browns and moss greens. I hope I have supplied enough info. that you may give date of piece and value. Thank You so very much. Sue

Answer: Hi Sue

with the shape number, and your description of the glaze, I’m sure it is Nokomis. It dates to around 1930. The Nokomis glaze is fairly rare, value is around 175.00. thanks, steve & rose
