We have recently come across a 5 gallon salt glaze stoneware crock at an estate sale. I orginally thought it to be Red Wing, but I have found crocks that have similar designs but no exact matches. There are no markings on this crock except for the 5 and the design as shown. It is in excellent condition with only a minor chip on the side handle. Is this a Red Wing piece, and if so what would the approximate value be?
I am just wondering if I have a piece of Red Wing of any value, or just a collectible. It is peachy-pink in color, low sheen, with a shiny burnt-cream color interior. No chips or marks, and says "Red Wing USA 505" on the bottom. It stands 7 3/4" at it’s tallest. Thank you for your help!
