Oil Lamp

Question:
Hi experts, I recently aquired this kerosene lamp at an estate sale. It is 8" to the burner collar and 7.5" in dia. at the top and 6" at the base. The reservoir is brown glazed inside and was inserted into the base before firing. There is a vine and berry accent around the top rim. Thougjt it might have been an afterthought, but the filler cap leads me to believe that it was made this way originally. Hope the picture makes it to you. Any info would be greatly appreciated and to know if it is a RW item. Thanks much. Regards, Jerry

my kerosene lamp and forgot to mention that in the hole on the bottom that there are hand etched munbers: 1134, 1136, 1173-38 and 45. Hope this may help. Thanks, Jerry

Answer: Hi Jerry

thanks for the pic, I can’t find this particular shape in any of the Red Wing book. It does look to be made for kerosene. I’m not sure who the maker is. Still a nice looking lamp. thanks, steve n rose
