Answer: Your first item sounds like the Deer and console bowl, a fairly easy peice to find. First introduced about 1938 The bowl is #526 and the Deer flower frog is #531 Because they are easy to find their value is about $60 for the set. The Dutch Girl Cookie jar can be found for about $100 to $125.

Question:
I just discovered that I have a red wing piece. It is a vase about 12" high, solid red color with the marking 1235 Red Wing USA on the bottom. It has a fluted edge at the top, wider than the bottom and has a chip in the top inside.It has been in the family for about 50 years.

Answer: The 1235 was made in 1946, so you are pretty close. It has a value of around 20.00 or so with the chip. The glaze is probably luster burgandy. thanks, steve n rose

Question:
I have a Cowgirl figurine. The number on the bottom is B1414. Says Red Wing USA also. She has her head tilted back looking to the sky, brown cowboy hat on , hand painted, brown skirt with yellow trim with brown polkadots on the bottom of skirt. Matching brown boots with yellow trim on the top. Excellent condition, no scratches or chips other than what looks like a kiln mark on top of the base by her boots. Any idea? Is it suppose to be a set? Thanks for your input.

Question:
At a thrift store I bought an art pottery piece that read RED WING U S A M 1463 It is imprinted on the bottom. The piece is an oval, carmel colored, oval bowl. The bowl’s lip are curled inward and outward. I am unable to send a picture because I don’t have a digital camera. I simply want to know if this is a Red Wing pottery art piece. I have several pieces of red wing pottery and would like to estimate their value for insurance and curiosity purposes. One – vase pearl white with green (lime) interior glazed finish – good condition #1246 One Cookie Jar – dutch girl. Skirt is base of jar and top is torso and head of dutch girl. Skirt is white top is yellow beige. Chip on base of lid – 1/2" otherwise good condition Console set – 1 fluted round bowl #1620 Red Wing Inc. – white with candle sticks 1619 Red Wing Inc.(2 in set)) Cup and saucer – beige or brown speckled on white cup with turqouise and brown bird on cup and small "pine needle" design – 2 on saucer – one on cup. great condition Pickle Vats? – One 10 gall or so with red wing emblem – no lid. One larger perhaps 20 gallon with lid also with red wing emblem and three others that are smaller (no lids). These are presently in a shed used for storage of old Ford Model A parts. They are dirty but so far unchipped. Photos are not available at this time. Lynne

Answer: Hi Lynne, The vase is worth around 20.00. The dutch girl’s usually sell for around 125.00 or so, the chip will hurt it. The console set, about 30.00. The cup and saucer, 15.00. The crocks vary, with wing size and what oval they have. Maybe 80-150.00 on those. thanks, steve n rose

I purchased a vase at a yard sale for $2. It is pink with specks on the outside and grey on the inside. It is marked RED WING M1465 USA. It is 12 1/2 inches high and 4" to 5" across at the widest point. It is shaped like a queen holding a flower. It has a hairline crack on the back that you can feel, but hard to see. I have a Rum Rill wine decanter, about 11" tall and 10" in diameter at the bottom and green in color. Marked RUM RILL 616. Can you tell me how old it is and what it might be worth? I was unable to take a picture of mine but found a picture of a similar decanter in a different color. What can you tell me about this decanter? Any value? Answer: It’s part of the vintage group, from the late thirties. There is a matching one, with the handle on the opposite side, left and right. The glaze is Pompeian, Antiqued Ivory. Value around 90.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
