Red Wing Magnolia Vase

Question:
This vase was a wedding gift for my parents during the war years. The Red Wing sticker is still attached. It is 10" from table to rim, 4" across the round base, and 7.5" from handle ear to handle ear. Of course I would like to kow its value, name, and any other pertinent information, because I want to sell it. Thanks so much for your knowledge and help! Sara

Answer: Hi Sara, it’s from 1943, part of line with similiar decorations. The glaze is called egshell ivory, antiqued with brown. Value is around 65.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Vase B1430

Question:
I have a light grey ribbed vase with a deep pink interior marked RED WING / USA / B1430. It has a round opening set on an angle so the vase measures approx. 6 3/4" in front and 8 1/2" in back. Thank you for any information you can provide as to history and value.

Answer: It’s an item designed by Belle Kogan, circa 1953. Luster grey with pink is the glaze. Value around 25.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing 1162

Question:
I just received a vase with the marking 1162 Red Wing USA on the bottom. It is light blue, 9.5", 4" opening @ top, with ripple markings on the body. There is a leaf/ vine design on the body that circles around it and extends away from it at 2 places. Great condition.. very pretty. Do you have any info on this type of vase. Thanks in advance,

Answer: Hello, it was designed in 1942, on most of these the decorations are glazed a different color than the vase. There are a couple others with a similiar style. Value is around 45.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing Vase M1501

Question:
We’d appreciate any information you have on two of our Red Wing Pottery pieces..both have an "open-handle’ and are numbered M1501..One green, one yellow..What is the value? any difference in value with regards to color? Are they planters? Thank you!

Answer: Hi, they are from 1953, designed by Charles Murphy. He did a lot of the morphic shapes in the 50′s. Not really a planter, but could be used as one. Glaze color won’t make any difference on this one. Value is around 40.00 each. thanks, steve n rose

Brushware Crane Vase

I have a vase, Red wing-union stoneware co. red wing minn. Othe bottom it numbers 11 Ru/35 It is 8 inches tall 4.5 inches wide at the top.. It is a green shinny glaze inside. It has verticle bamboo-like ribs with a 3 inch band with large emu type birds(2) standing in water with other plants. What can you tell me Thanks Ken

Red Wing Vase 861

Question:
I HAVE A VASE ABOUT 8" HIGH WITH 2 HANDLES, ONE LONGER THAN THE OTHER, RAISED LILIES ON BOTH SIDES, LIGHT TURQUOIS, REDWING AND # 198 OR 861 AND 3 LITTLE DOTS ON BOTTOM. THE RIM AROUND TOP IS CREAM COLOR AND ON SOME OF THE FLOWERS. HAS A SMOOTH FINISH.

Red Wing 1259 vase

Question:
It is perhaps slightly chipped and patched on the bottom, on the inside of the ridge. You can see scratches in the glaze where someone tried to smooth-out the patch. Otherwise it’s flawless. The mark on the bottom is 1259 Red Wing USA. Date? Number manufactured? Value?

George Washington coffee cup

Question:
hi i live in southern MN. and found this coffee cup in a box one day at a auction the color looks a lot like red wings high gloss burgundy bottom of cup is marked ( U.S.A ). CUP STANDS 3 3/8" base is 2 15/16" top is 3 3/8" and has a flowing handle on the back side looks like a profile of GEORGE WASHIGNTON IN A RAISED PATTERN also 4 raised stars around the bottom 2 to the right and 2 on the left of the face this item is mint and quality is nice. looks to be made out of a white clay / pottery thank you for any help. i just cant find any thing out about it
