Question:
I have been a member for about 24 years and believe this is a great site. The creators of the magazine or web site rarely disappoint. My question is regarding site navigation rather than content.

Is there a way in the next web site update to incorporate a search engine on the ?ask the expert? inquiries?

This information would be even more valuable if we could archive the data and be able to access specific information through a sorting function. There is enought content here to write a book on collecting, sorting and cataloging collections.

The ask the expert info is invaluable but very cumbersome to navigate through page after page after page. I don?t think the people that design sites think about practical uses or potential new applications of the data stored.

If there was an interactive sort function. ? then members could look for specific pieces or review product lines by clusters vs paging through lots of pages of what appears to be random collection of questions presented in a nonsensical linear timeline.

All it would require from the authors is to follow a common method of titling for sorting. We already have detailed product descriptions that thanks to old Red Wing pottery inventory books.

I believe there is a ton of great info/pics that is being wasted away because the lack of ability to search the archive.

Just thought I share what I been thinking every time I log onto the site. There is great potential to better educate with the great information created here.
