Question:
I just purchased what I think is a Redwing pottery crock. It has blue number 3 on it with the red wing below and it is in good condition with no cracks. There are no other markings on this particular piece. it’s about 10" in diameter and 11" high. Unfortunately, I am unable to post a picture. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Lori
Answer: Lori, the Red Wing Stoneware Company produced 3 gallon crocks from 1895 to 1947 with the red wing. Those crocks with the 4 1/2" red wing are older and the value is higher than those with the 2" wing. Value in mint condition is $50 to $75. Al Kohlman
