Al, thank you for your reply on the Reid, Murdoch crock being a pickle dispenser. We thought that from pictures on the site and from what we have read in books. My concern is the letters are stenciled with only one store locations, plus the handle where the hardware should go, runs horizontal not vertical like the ones on this site. Can you give me any in-site to these differences and how the hardware might have worked with this handle? There is nothing on the opposite side, like shown in the other pictures, that latch the lid down. Thanks for your time. Dale

Answer: Dale, I don’t collect the Murdock pickle dispensers and therefore have no idea of how the hardware would have attached. I have had a few of them, but picked them up at sales and resold them. Sorry I could not help with your answer. Al Kohlman
