Question:
I have a #15 red wing seltzer dispenser with lid. It has old lead feed line that has a glass float shut off ball cock inside the crock. Glass ball is still in perfect condition. It also has a draw off valve on bottom to fill glasses. It has large red wing emblem on front (approximately 6") with blue 15 on top of emblem and an oval emblem showing redwing trademark company emblem on front. There is a #15 stamped in (no color) showing on top of the lid (cover). Color: off white glaze. Rich

Answer: Rich, your 15 gallon Red Wing crock was produced for a chemical company. Most collectors are not interested in the hardware that is still on the inside of the crock, but I would keep it regardless. You never know if you want to sell it if the hardware would be wanted by the buyer. Value on the crock alone in perfect condition is $175 to $200. If your lid has the daisy petals embossed on the top of it, then it is a Red Wing lid. In perfect condition the value is between $200 $ $250. If no petals then the lid is not Red Wing and the value is around $50. Hope this helps. Al Kohlman
