Question:
I have three Red Wing Jugs that I got when my sister-in-law passed away. I think they are Red Wing Jugs, the one with the 6 has patented 1915 and other markings. It has no hair line fractures or anything wrong with it. The lid however has a chip underneath it that can not be seen. The only markings the other Jugs have are the ones you can see. Can you tell me anything about them and what they might be worth please. Michelle

Answer: Michelle, the only pieces I can comment on are the 4 and 6 gallon crocks. These are Red Wing. The 4 gallon was produced between 1895 & 1908. It has value between $50 & $60. The 6 gallon Red Wing crock was produced between 1915 & 1930. In perfect condition, it has a value around $75. The smaller crock with lid does not look to be Red Wing. The brown jug is to far away for me to tell if it is Red Wing or from another stoneware company. I cannot see the top of the crock lids to tell if they are Red Wing. If they are Red Wing, they would have a daisy type petal embossed on the top. If there is no embossing on the lids, then they are not Red Wing. This is the best I can do for you with what I can see.
