Question:
The second pot that I have a question about looks like a Redwing pot and was always refered to as one by my Grandmother, but has no markings on it at all. There are no serial numbers, stamps, etc. The pot is medium in size and in excellent condition. There are no cracks in the pot or the glazing. It is practically perfect. Gayle

Answer: Gayle, I can’t tell from the photo if your crock is a one gallon or 1/2 gallon crock. It looks to be Red Wing. Back in the time, you would have covered the contents of the crock with a cloth or piece of wax paper and then tied a piece of string around the cloth or wax paper in the tie ring ( just below the rim) to keep it from coming off. With no decoration, not signed or advertising the value is low. $15 to $20. Al Kohlman
