Question:
I have two red wing union stoneware crocks. One is a 5 with a small wing and the other is a three with a small wing. They were my Mother’s and are in good shape. I’m curious what they would sell for. I also have another crock that does not have a red wing onit, instead it has a 6 and a small hand painted crown with USA within it. It also has a USA imprinted in the pottery on the bottom. Do you know what that would be worth or anything about it? Thanks. Larry
Answer: Larry, your 3 & 5 gallon Red Wing potteries crocks have a value between $50 to $70. The small wing crocks are the later crocks and therefore have a lesser value than those with the larger wings. Also, these prices are for perfect pieces. The crown crock is made in Ohio and there is not much demand for them. I don’t collect crown and have no idea of its value. Al Kohlman
