Question:
I have 2 red wing crocks – the ’4 ice water’ – no lid, and the 2 with the small logo. They are in excellent condiditon with only minor surface cracks. No leaks. Have been stored in my home for 20 years. I am wondering as to their resale value. The ice water is 10 1/2×13; the #2 is 9 1/2×91/2. I currently am not able to send pics. Any info is appreciated. Answer: Gretchen, when you say minor surface cracks, this makes me nervous. To a collector a crack is a crack even if holds water. A 4 gallon Ice Water with a crack would have a value around $300. If it were mint in today’s market $800. The 2 gallon Red Wing crock with surface cracks would have a value around $30. Al Kohlman
