Question:
I have an old Red Wing beater jar passed down in my family. It is about 5" by 5", no cracks or chips. Has the blue lines encircling the jar at the top and bottom, and printing on one side only, "RED WING BEATER JAR EGGS-CREAM-SALAD DRESSING". I noticed all of the others I have seen of these have advertising on the other side…does the lack of advertising have any effect on value? Thanks Tom

Answer: Tom, the plain Red Wing Stoneware beater jars such as yours has a much lower value than those which have advertising on them. Value on the plain Red Wing Beater jars in today’s market is between $80 & $100. Al Kohlman
