Question:
My husband recently acquired this crock from his father (92 years young!) who for many years used it as a minnow bucket in his basement. It is a 20 gallon crock, glazed in and out with the same off white glaze and marked with the Union Stoneware Co stamp that appears to be used in 1906-1915 according to your website. It has no cracks, but a small "bubble" to the left of the stamp which is visible in the picture. There are a few chips on the rim. Can you tell us if it is valuable enough that we should find a different use for it? Thank you Kristine

Answer: Kristine, you have a 20 gallon Red Wing crock which was manufactured between 1895 & 1909. Value on your piece is at $250. One expensive minnow bucket! I just love these early Red Wing birch leaf pieces and you have a gorgeous one. Al Kohlman`
