Question:
These two crocks don’t have the RedWing label, but I’m assuming they might be RedWing products. They are both in very good condition with no cracks or chips. The interiors are both dark brown. The smaller one holds three gallons and the larger one holds four. Could you tell me more about them, including their approximate ages and worth? Thanks! (And thanks for all that you do – what a wonderful website!)

Answer: First of all , thank you for the nice comment. Both of these crocks are Red Wing. The 4 gallon is called a single P with ribs. The decoration is weak and not fully printed. Age 1867 – 1895. Value $125 to $150. The three gallon crock was manufactured by the Minnesota Stoneware Company. Age is the about the same as the 4 gallon. Decoration is called double rib cage. Markings are nice, strong and complete. Value $175 to $225. Al Kohlman
