Question:
I have a question about this 6 gallon crock. The stamp is round, not oval. I’m new to Red Wing collecting (and a new member of the Society), and can only find information on the oval stamp. Is this authentic Red Wing or a reproduction of another type. Seller is asking $80, which I think it too high due to the blemishes and such. If it isn’t real Red Wing, it’s not worth it, too. Thanks! Answer: Curt, this 6 gallon Red wing crock has one of the two 1 1/4 inch round ovals. These ovals were produced for Red Wing Artware in the 1920′s & 30′s. With the light markings and blemishes I would agree with you on the price being to high. I would think $50 would be a fair price. Al Kohlman
