Question:
Had a 20 gal Union Stoneware crock with a crack in the base. This a.m. while moving the crock that crack became a break. Do you have a repair glue or some adhesive which you have seen be successful in repairing breaks. Thanks, Trudy
Answer: Trudy, on a crack such as yours, I like to use Liquid Super glue. Get as much glue into the crack as possible then either put weight on the crock or a tourniquet to tighten up the crack. Do not wipe off any excess glue that may run on your crock as it will turn white and you will be kicking the dog in frustration trying to remove it. Let the crock sit for 24 hours. After 24 yours, take a razor blade and chip off the excess glue. This method works quite well. Al Kohlman
