Is all Red Wing pottery marked? I have two beater jars. One is the sponge with advertising and marked Redwing usa and the other is the grey with two blue bands and is not marked. They are the same size and appear to be of the same mold. I also have jugs of various sizes and some are not marked. Thank you. Sandy

Answer: Sandy, not all Red Wing pottery is marked. Beater jars and the smaller jugs are a good example of unmarked pieces. Also, the Western stoneware company manufactured jugs and beater jars that are very similar to the Red Wing line. Therefore you will need to have a good understanding of the Red Wing characteristics to be sure who made what. Al Kohlman
