Question:
I just purchased these crocks from an estate sale ($50/crock) I would like to know the name of each and if I paid the right price. Also, are they really red wing???? On the salt glaze, there is about a 8" crack on the side that you can hopefully see in the pics I sent. Thanks for your time, I appreciate it.

Answer: First of all, all four of your pieces are Red Wing. The two 5 gallon jugs on each end are called Shoulder jugs. These 5 gallon shoulder jugs in mint condition with 4 1/2" wings are valued around $50 per jug. The 5 gallon Salt Glaze crock with rib cage was manufactured by the Minnesota Stoneware Company would be in the $50 to $75 range depending on how tight the 8 inch crack is. Lastly the 5 gallon Red Wing crock with handles is the latest stoneware piece produced by the Red Wing Stoneware Company. It was produced between 1936 & 1947. In mint condition, the value would be between $75 & $100. Al Kohlman
