Question:
I recently became the owner of a small crock. It smells like there was motor oil inside. The inside of the crock is clean looking but still smells of oil. How do you clean crocks? Thanks for your help, Mary

Answer: Mary, a good soapy detergent should do it. If this does not work you can try a degreaser. You may even need to soak it in a degreaser solution for a week or so. Al Kohlman
