Question:
I have a butter churn that has the number 5 on it with the birch leaves below. There is also the ski oval that says Red Wing on the first line with a scroll below it. The second line has Union Stoneware with Co. below it. On the next line is Red Wing, Minn. An elderly gentleman gave it to me about 17 years ago. He said it was his mothers. I cannot find any information on one like it. Please let me know the value of it. I am sending pictures also.

Answer: Your churn is an early churn manufacturer by the Red Wing Stoneware Company sometime before 1909. Without it’s lid and in mint condition, the value will be in somewhere between $250 & $300. Al Kohlman
