Question:
I recently purchased a 2 gallon Red Wing Churn which has a blue 2, a small red wing, with oval blue stamp that says Red Wing Potteries Inc. Red Wing, Minn. There is no cover. The churn has no cracks or chips. There is a brownish stain under the glaze on the back but it does not go through to the inside. Appears to be an original manufacturing defect. I realize this is a later piece probably made between 1936 and 1967. Could you provide an approximate value. Thank you.

Answer: You where close on the manufacturing dates. 1936 till 1947. These 2 gallon wing churns with the potteries oval have a value in the area of $200 in Mint condition with no lid. Al Kohlman
