Question:
I recently received two crocks from my grandmother and have since become more and more interested in this collectors item. One crock is a 2 gallon and the other is a 6 gallon. Both have a few chips along the top. Do you have any idea how much they are worth?

Answer: Without seeing your 2 gallon, I really cannot give you an honest value. I would need to see the decoration or hear which decoration it is and what color. Now the one shown is a Minnesota Stoneware 6 gallon Elephant Ear crock. Normally you will see these with black ink. However, there is nothing wrong with the blue ink and there are collectors who will pay even more for this color. Your Elephant Ear crock has very nice markings. I don’t know how bad the chips are, but just with what I can see, I would place the value between $180 & $250. Minor chips and I would go toward the higher end of the value. Very nice looker!
