Question:
Hello, I am trying to determine if this crock is Red Wing. I recently acquired it from a friend and she has no idea. It does not have any of the typical Red Wing markings that I am accustomed to. However, a coworker saw it and said he thinks it is Red Wing. The crock is dark brown on the inside and has tan/orange flecks on the outside. It is in excellent condition. It does have an indentation on the side that appears to me intentional. It also has a nub/bump on the back that also appears to be intentional. I have pictures of all 4 sides, but I am only able to attach one via this website. Please let me know if you would like me to email the rest of the pictures. Thanks for your help Jill

Answer: Jill, your crock is not Red Wing. The glaze is not correct nor at the markings. It is most likely from another pottery in the mid-west. Al Kohlman
