Question:
I have the attached pictured one gallon bluebanded advertising jug that I believe is red wing, but the bottom is not marked. There are no cracks or chips on this piece, only typical stoneware flaws. Any idea of age and value.
Answer: Your blue banded advertising jug was most likely manufactured in the 1920′s or 30′s by the Red Wing Stoneware Company. The blue banded advertising jugs are a bit more colorful than the ordinary advertising jug. Unsigned in Mint condition. $800 to $1000. Nice piece. Al Kohlman
