Question:
Hi, My mother has a set of dinnerware in the Lotus pattern #117 which includes 8 dinner plates, 16 saucers, 8 cups, cream, sugar and gravy boat. I remember growing up Mom would get them out during the holidays so they have been used. Am wondering if I decide to sell what would be a fair asking price? Is it better to sell the collection as a whole, or by the piece? Than you very much. Thanks Lois
Answer: Your collection of Lotus dinnerware items would be a nice start for somebody looking to build a complete set. All of the pieces you’ve included are quite common and thus not especially valuable. A fair price for this collection would be $75-100, assuming all pieces are in excellent condition.
