Question:
I just bought a Red Wing Bread tray with a brown bench and rug at one end and a yellow bird landing on a oil lamp at the other. Bottom is marked Red Wing U.S.A. 340. Picture attached. Does have 2 small chips on one side. 24 long and 4 1/2" wide. Leann

Answer: The name of this pattern is Hearthside and the item is a bread tray. It was made for several years in the early 1960s. This is not a common piece and value in mint condition would be around $50. Any damage reduces the value, probably by about half in this case depending on the size and visibility of the chips.
