Question:
I would like to know the value of this piece: like new condition, measures 11/14 inches. Has depressions on each side (12 in all) for deviled eggs, there is a space on each end for relishes and a covered dish in the center. The picture is not at "yellow" as it appears in real life.
Answer:
Red Wing egg plates have grown in popularity with collectors and most of them are not easy to find. Lanterns is the name of this pattern and it was made from 1952 to 1955. Value for a Lanterns egg plate in excellent condition and with the center cover (which is often missing) would be $125 to $175.
