Question:
We have the following pieces which I was able to id from photos on your site as part of the Concord Fruit line. I am trying to figure out what to do with them as we don’t want them. I am willing to consider donating them, if there is a museum or organization that would want them. Or if there is a collector who might be interested in them, that would be great. I’m not interested in selling them piece by piece on ebay. Are any particularly rare or valuable? Any comments or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Sally

Answer:
The Fruit pattern isn’t rare and isn’t among the more highly sought patterns, although there certainly are some who collect it. The plates are common but the butter dish and S&P shakers are more difficult to find and are each worth around $20-25. I would estimate the total value of this group to be somewhere around $100. The Red Wing Collectors Foundation seeks donations of Red Wing pottery and stoneware. Other options for donation would be Goodwill, the Salvation Army, or another charitable organization that collects items for resale.
