Question:
I do not know if you call it a tea pot or pitcher. It is a cobalt blue and looks like a flying saucer. Round in shape with a outer ridge that goes around the area.

Answer: I cannot identify this piece based on the limited information provided. Is it marked Red Wing? Are there any identifying marks on the bottom? What are the dimensions? Is the outer ridge horizontal or does it tilt at an angle? A photo is the easiest and most reliable way to provide these details.

Red Wing made a teapot in the early 1940s that could fit your description. This teapot would be marked Red Wing USA 258 on the bottom. It was introduced sometime between February 1943 and January 1944, and likely discontinued shortly after the end of World War II. Blue is a popular color with Red Wing collectors and often commands a higher price than other colors. A blue Red Wing #258 teapot in excellent condition would be worth $100 to $150.
