Question:
I have what looks like a planter on pedestal that belonged to my Grandmother – who died in 1966. Pedestal is 24" high and 10.5" wide at base ∧ top. The planter measures 10.5" high and open circumference top of 12". Both are marked Red Wing – pictures included. What can you tell me about the pieces and their value.

Answer: I like these big pieces of brushware, early art pottery from Red Wing. circa early 30′s. The pedestal has another use as well, it being a floor vase. Shape #160.
