Question:
I have what appears to be a Red Wing Brushed Ware urn/vase. It is 11" tall with an opening of about 4.25". It is stamped on the bottom with a circular stamp which reads Red Wing Stoneware Co. Red Wing, Minn and is also stamped (into the clay) with the number 10. It has a dark green, glossy interior and a green over tan exterior. It has a floral pattern on it. As far as damage or wear, there are a few small chips along the bottom edge and what appears to be small spots/drips of a metallic silver paint. Thank you Shannon
Answer: Shannon, It is a Red Wing vase, from the Brushed Ware line, circa 1931. shape # 133 came in 3 sizes, with this being the largest. Value with the chips around $80.00. thanks, steve n rose
