Question:
Question on another piece I have aquired. This is marked on the base Red Wing 621. It is 10" across and has 3 indents that look like it might be an ashtray. It is eggshell color with brown accents and a rope like edge. There are 3 clusters of grapes equally distributed around the sides. There are some stained palces in the bottom of the bowl but no cracks or chips. It is a heavy piece. I would say in very good condition. Thanks, Sherry

Answer: This piece would be consided a bowl, part of the Vintage group, designed by Rumrill. Some will carry the Rumrill mark, but all were made by Red Wing. It was produced about 1937, and the glaze is called "Pompeian". Value is around $60.00 or so. thanks, Steve n Rose
