Blue Band Red Wing , 5 pound pantry jar

Question:
I am trying to find out idea of the value of the Red Wing Blue Banded Butter Crock that has been in my family from time of purchase – my grandfather in early 1900′s had a greenhouse near Red Wing Pottery Factory. This Butter Crock has been gently used. I will try to upload 4 pictures. First is front-chip on top right but when looking from top hardly noticeable. Also on wing about 1" in from wing there is a very very fine .crack going from there to top edge. (but not showing at all from the inside). Picture 2 from the back – showing only other chip again very small on the top right – on very edge of top of crock. Pictures 3 & 4 as you can see are inside and bottom. Thanks. phone 715-634-4112

Mursen Clock Company – Gretta

Question:
I have the three red wing wall clocks by the mursen clock company of 1947. The question is on the clock movement. Two of the clocks have a lanshire movement and one (gretta) has a sessions movement. Is that correct? Did they use various manufacturer movements? Of the three is one of them more valuable than the others? thanks toml

Answer: Hello

I can’t say for sure on the clock movements, I know some are of a different style, I would guess that what you have is original to the clocks. Think the Mammy is worth the most, as it is a more cross collectible. They do make a great set!
