Señors and señoritas of the Red Wing Collectors Society – it’s time to get ready for "Fiesta in February" MidWinter GetTogether 2010, February 12-14 at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Des Moines, Iowa.

So grab your sombreros and bring your margarita glasses because we are going to fiesta our love of Red Wing! Registration for MidWinter is already open – save yourself the stamp and register online or call 800-977-7927.

Need more dinero to support your habit? Consider having a table at the Show & Sale for only $35. Table requests need to be in by Jan. 8, 2010.


Bring the niños, too, because we’ll have KidsView activities for them to participate in.

Katie Hardyman is looking for volunteers to help with registration and Friday night setup. If interested, please e-mail her at MEMBERSHIP@REDWINGCOLLECTORS.ORG. In addition, we’re asking members that have Mexican-themed decorations to donate to please contact the business office.

MidWinter is sure to be a HOT HOT time in Des Moines! Don’t take a siesta this year; mark your calendar and come Fiesta in February!

Art Pottery and Dinnerware Price guides

Question:
Can someone recommend a good "pricing guide" for RedWing, both pottery and dishes. Barnes and Noble has a guide for stoneware but not for other stuff. Thank you very much!!! Nancy

Answer: Hi Nancy

Red Wing art pottery two, by Ray Reiss, is probably the best for art pottery. There is some dinnerware in it, but not much. Dinnerware hasn’t had a book done in many years. Check ebay for prices also. thanks, steve n rose

3 gallon salt glaze lazy 8

We have two new members of our crock family. Can you please verify if the 3 gallon is a red wing lazy eight or what it is? Also the 4 gallon has markings unlike any I’ve seen…any ideas who may have made this one? Patrick
