Red Wing 526 and 1228

Question:
Would like to know approx. value of ivory/brown oval platter and deer flower frog set numbered 526. Also have 2 coordinating candlesticks that look like tulips (2 tulips/candlestick) numbered 1228. Inquiring for my 82-year-old mother. These belonged to her mother. Thank you

Answer: Your item sounds like the Deer and console bowl, a fairly easy peice to find. They are part of the Magnolia line, circa 1946. Egshell Ivory/antiqued with brown is the glaze. First introduced about 1938 The bowl is #526 and the Deer flower frog is #531 Because they are easy to find their value is about $60 for the set. With the candlesticks I would value the set at 100.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
