Colfax, Iowa 5 gallon jug

Question:
Hi, I am dealing with my father’s estate and we have a Colfax, Iowa 5 gallon jug with black art on the front including two leaves. We did not realize that we may have a treasure. It is in great condition but it does have a large (1.5" X .5") old chip directly below the label. We have it listed on our auction, but I had an individual offer as much as $3,000.00 sight unseen. I have an obligation to the estate to turn these items into cash and I also would like to get it to someone that would really appreciate it. Please give me a ballpark estimate as to value and whether I should pull it off the auction. Thanks so much for your help. Stu Peterson

Red Wing Vase 1155

Question:
I would like any info re this 10 " high vase, marked Red Wing on the bottom and I believe the incised numbers, 1155. It was in my deceased parent’s possession as long as I can recall and I am now 70 y.o.The interior has a fine hairline crack about 3"long starting from the rim of the vase. The interior has a cream colored glaze.

Answer: Hello, the 1155 is from 1942. It’s a hand decorated piece. Value with the hairline is around 15.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

I recently acquired a piece of red wing dinnerware? its like a bowl and it has a lid. My mother in law said it is a butter bowl? It says red wing on the bottom, and it has a brown design on the top part of the bowl. Thanks sandy

Greetings, I just found a 10# Cottage Cheese Crock with the advertising inside a blue outlined box that reads "KREEM RICH Brand Cottage Cheese Burdick Cheese Co. Ionia, Mich. 10 lbs. Net" Does this advertising sound familiar, not sure if it’s Redwing or not. Sorry no picture. If it is Redwing, approximate value in mint condition. Thanks
