2 Gallon salt glaze with birch leaves
Question:
I have a 20 gallon salt glaze unmarked red wing crock I am interested in selling. The piece has a significant crack which goes through the whole wall of the crock on the back side. I realize that cracks effect the value of any piece. Can you tell me if there is any value to the piece I have mentioned? See photos. (for some reason I can only send one photo at at a time, I will submit another photo right after this one) Thanks, Selina

Collection on Mason Jars
Question:
This is a display from the Utah bottle show of all of the known companies and sizes known to still exist in the screw top fruit jars with the Utah advertising. I’d like to know if others are known. It took four collectors to come together to make this display. I own the Sandy (one known), Kaysville (one known), 1/4 gal. Bountiful (two known) and just worked out a deal for the 1/2 ga. Farmington (one known). There is only one known Tremonton. The Bountiful 1/2 gal. has the one mint one and one glued together. At this time, only rumors of others exist. Was wondering about the value of these pieces. I collect Utah advertising stoneware and really like those Red Wing pieces. I purchased the Red Wind special order book and see there could be other Utah screw top jars. They are extremely hard to find! I could use some original lids if you are aware of a source.

Violin Planters
Question:
Hi, I am curious to see if you might have some information on a set of wall hangings that my Grandmother has. They are two violins that she has hanging on the wall that she has had for a long time. She had picked them up at a garage sale many years ago. They both have "Red Wing USA #907" written on them. I think they might be some kind of planter the way they have sort of a pocket in them. I don’t have any photos of them now but I would easily be able to take some good digital photos if it would help. I am looking to possibly find a date and value of the pieces and any other kind of information you might have on them. Thanks for reading
Answer: They are indeed wallpockets, or planters. They date from the early 60′s. They have a value of around 80.00 each. thanks, steve n rose
