There are two new faces in the RWCS Business
Office.  Stacy Wegner will start March 1st as the RWCS Business
Manager and Lori Anderson has started as the administrative assistant.

Stacy
is from Red Wing. She comes to the RWCS with extensive marketing and
promotion experience.  She is an enthusiastic collector as well.
Stacy will be a wonderful asset in growing the Society and marketing to
new members.

Lori has worked as a temporary
employee since February 2005 so she is very familiar with the Society.
She will assume the membership function and will be the face and voice
you see and hear with your questions.

are 10:00 a.m- 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You can contact the

News on the Members Only site.

Welcome to the “Members Only” portion of the web site.  This is where you will access all of the Society business. A new option that will be available in the very near future is the Discussion Forum.  The Discussion Forum will have four main categories: Recent Finds, Auctions, Society News and Newsletter Article Discussions.  The Discussion Forum is the venue for members to talk with other members. It will also offer information and at the same time solicit information and feedback from the members.

The goal for this web site is to offer RWCS members a valuable service.  Please offer any feedback regarding any changes and additions that you would find to be beneficial. All suggestions will be considered. Thank you.

The RWCS Board of Directors is accepting letters of interest and resumes for the position of Business/Convention Manager.  Applications will be accepted until December 31^st, 2006.  The Business/Convention Manager is a full time position located in Red Wing, Minnesota. The Business/Convention Manager is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Society and has responsibility for all RWCS events.  You may contact the Business Office for a copy of the job specifications and job description.  Please send all letters of interest and resumes to Sue Jones Tagliapietra, Interim President at 2219 Lakeland Ave, Madison, WI 53704.

The August Newsletter delivery has been delayed for two reasons. First, the Board voted to delay the deadline of the August Newsletter to accommodate more time for people to get Convention information submitted. Second, the delivery time is further compromised by Hurricane Katrina. The Newsletter editors contacted the post office and found that due to the hurricane disaster the USPS is holding some mail and taking the maximum delivery time for others  The Post Office confirmed that all mail will probably back up across the country for some time.  The October issue will be on the regular schedule. If you do not have your copy by October 1st, please contact the Business Office.

You are viewing the new "Look and Feel" of the RWCS web site. Check out the new face and the new features we are able to offer. For example, you will notice there are "Public" and "Members Only" features.  While we love to educate others about the wonderful products made by Red Wing and even answer questions to help people find out if it really is Red Wing; at the same time there are some times when to coin the phrase "membership has its privileges".  In order to access some features, you do have to be a member in good standing and give us your email address and membership number to gain access.

Do check out the other new features such as the search function, latest news and continue to watch for new articles and pictures.  Ask the Experts will soon be a new feature on the public site.  We will have three well-known and very knowledgeable RWCS members who will answer your questions regarding Red Wing products.

Again, this is a good start but it is a work in progress.  We really do stress that this is a work in progress and you will continue to find new features and information so come back.

Wendy Callicoat, Vice President of the RWCS, was
authorized by the Board of Directors to pursue a contract with Rick
Natyiniski, to publish the RWCS Newsletter for 2006-08. 

Rick’s
bid was selected by the Board of Directors at its meeting. The
selection was based on the voting from the membership, the style of the
Newsletter and on cost.

Rick is very excited about having this opportunity and has vowed to put his heart and soul into this venture.
