Question:
Is this Red Wing.I’m clearing out a storage from a relative who passed away. I don’t see any markings on the container other then that on the front. It seems to be in mint condition. What is the marking on the front called? Is it bee sting?

Red Wing M 1440

Question:
Hello. I requested information on a Murphy Red Wing vase last week, but nothing has been posted on this site yet…so maybe I did it wrong (?). Again, the bottom is marked: Red Wing USA M-1440. It is chartreuse on the outside lined with grey on the inside. I would like to know the year it was made, how much it originally sold for, and what it would be worth now in good condition. Sorry, I do not have a picture. Thanks.

sorry for the late reply, see previous post. thanks, steve n rose

question from: RMGareau@aol.com

Question:
This 12" plate is painted with an Apple and apple blossoms. It has the Red Wing emblem on the back & says "hand painted". It traveled, together with a family of nine, by train to Washington State in 1943. An Aunt (Tina Larson) to the family (the Pflugers) worked as a painter at the Red Wing factory and we have always wondered if it is a one-of-a-kind or part of a set. Any information any of you might have regarding the possible history of this family treasure would be greatly appreciated. Approximate date, original sale price, current value, etc. Many thanks. Mary
