Question:
This is a shallow (about 2") oval bowl (9 1/2" wide x 16" long) with deer (10" tall). Brown glazing accents. Deer has holes in base for floral arrangements. Bottom of bowl has "Redwing" with the leg of the R underlining the rest of the name with U.S.A. S26 that looks to be impressed rather than engraved into the clay before glazing. It’s hard to read on the creamy white color as it’s not deeply etched or colored. I also have round ribbed candleholders about 3" high and 1 1/2 inches diameter. Any idea if it’s real Redwing or of it’s value. It’s my mother’s, probably a wedding gift, or sometime thereafter, in 1944. Thanks Gwen
Answer: Hi Gwen
Your timeframe is correct, early 40′s. This is the deer "frog" and console bowl, shape #526, and 531. It is indeed made by Red Wing. If the cnadleholders are the same glaze, I’m sure they are as well. Value for the console bowl W/deer is around 75.00, and a pair of candleholders around 45.00. thanks, steve n rose

I have a Redwing USA #1023 turquoise vase with what looks like a peony molded on one side. The vase is about 10 inches high and about 5 inches wide. Do you know what it is?
I have a friend that purchased this piece at an estate sale. She asked me if I would have any idea what it is worth. I told her I would check with the RWCS as we are members. So please tell me anything you can about this piece. I am not sure if there are any chips, I don’t think so, but could find out the next time I see her. I have a few more pictures if you would like to see them.
Just want to know anything about a Red Wing vase I got at a sale. The markings are: RED WING U.S.A. M 1451 The vase is 14" tall and about 6" diameter Thanks…..Claudette Noel
Is my 3 gal. jug a Red Wing and what is it’s worth? Thanks, Barb
We have a cookie jar with the markings of Redwing USA on the bottom. Can you estimate a time frame of when it was made? The cookie jar stands approximately 12" tall, and about 8" in width.
Hi Al, Can you tell me the value of a one gallon fancy jug. The advertising says, A. MOLL GROCER CO. ST. LOUIS, MO. in a rectangular outline (bold and clear). There are no chips or cracks, the dark brown top shines. The white area has crazing. Thanks for your help. Betty
