3 gallon lazy 8 and target crock, salt glaze
Question:
Hi there, I just recently purchased this 3 gallon bee-sting crock that appears to be salt glazed. It is not marked Red Wing on the bottom, but from what I have read still may be. It is almost 11 inches tall and 10 inches from outside rim-to-rim. I’m wondering if you can give me any more information on the piece such as age, maker, value? It is in great condition with little in the way of discoloration, no chips or cracks. It has a brown spot on the bottom in the front that I think they call "turkey dripping"? It also has some rough flakes on a small area on the back. Anything you can tell me would be very appreciated. Leah
