Hot Water Bottle Red Wing Union Stoneware Co Red Wing MINN

Question:
I received two foot warmers that belonged to my grandmother. The stamp on the bottom says, "Red Wing Union Stoneware Co Red Wing MINN. They are glazed brown, have the original caps, and both have fluid in them since I’ve never opened either one. They are triangular in shape, and one has a small chip on it. My dad said that grandma used them when riding in the horse and buggy cart to keep their feet warm. I can’t find any pictures similar to what I have, so I’m wondering when they may have been made.

1165 Red Wing USA

Question:
I’d like to know the history of this piece — pattern, date made, value. It is 8 inches tall, and about 5 inches across top. On the bottom embedded in the clay is says "1165 Red Wing USA". See picture attached. Judith

it was designed in 1942, there are a few other shapes with a similiar desgn, most are done in antiqued ivory, this one looks to be luster green. Value is around 40.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
