Doric line console bowl

Question:

I’d like to ask the experts what they think my footed bowl is worth, but I couldn’t figure out how to send a question and photos to the experts from that web page.

I am attaching my photos and hoping that you will forward it to the appropriate expert.  I would like to sell the bowl, but I have no idea what it is worth.  I’m in the process of getting ready for a yard sale and I came across this bowl in a box of stuff I inherited from my mother.  I’m hoping that it is worth more than what I could get at my yard sale.

Thank you,

Deb

Answer:

Hello Deb
this is from about 1960, part of the Doric line.  Not worth a fortune, but still around 40.00 or so.  thanks, steve n rose

What can you tell me about this vase. The orange one has the part number 682?

Answer:

The orange vase is from the Chromoline series that dates from the 1960s and the glaze color on the stripe one is rust and green. The value for this shape is $150. The RWCS actually did this shape as our commemorative last year.

The blue one is from the Doric line, a year after the chromoline, value around 70.00 on that one.  thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing 215 vase

Question:

Hello,

I tried to post this to your site’s Ask the Experts section, but I don’t see any way to post a new note? Is it necessary to be a member to post to that forum?

Anyhow, my grandmother had a blue Red Wing vase, about 6″ tall, with elephant heads forming the handles with their trunks. It is around 80-100 years old. She was born in 1900, and lived in Minneapolis for 12 years in the late ’20s and early ’30s.

Is there anything you can tell me about this?

Thanks in advance… Jon

Answer:

Hi Jonathan
this is the 215s, the 6″ vase.  there is a 10″ one as well.  they are from the early 1930′s.  Most sell for around 80.00 or so.  thanks, steve n rose

RumRill Ball Jug, #50

this is a RumRill jug, but the glaze isn’t nokomis, just a standard RumRill glaze.  There is value without the stopper, a lot of those got lost along the way.  I would say around 40.00 or so.  thanks, steve n rose

Kogan 100 line, shape 799, designer Belle Kogan

Question:

Thank you so much for your time and your response!   I did see the two prior questins on your website which led me to believe that my vases are not the Prismatique-line.  The vases I have are not star shaped.  They are approx 11″ tall.  I am led to believe they are dated in the 1940′s because the Red Wing Marking does not contain the word USA.   I shrunk down the pictures I sent earlier and re-attached them.

Thank You again for your time.
