Answer: Dick & Jeanne, your daughter has purchased a Red Wing Stoneware 3 gallon zinc glazed beehive jug. This jug was produced between 1895 & 1917. With only the number 3 stenciled on the jug, the value is in the area of $150 to $175 or so. If it had further decorations such as leaves or a red wing, the value would be in the $300 range.
