What’s the value of an 8 gallon red wing churn with lid. The wing is 4 inches long and the markings are great. There’s a hairline crack on the side that stops 3 inches from the top and bottom so it’s still very sturdy. The crack doesn’t go to the bottom or rim. Thanks!! Jordan

Answer: Jordan it is the crack that kills the value of your 8 gallon Red Wing churn. It does not matter if the crock is solid or not, a crack is a crack and collectors are looking for perfect pieces. Though still a good piece, but not worth what is would be in perfect condition, I would think a fair value would be around $500 as long as the hairline does not to to the rim of the churn. Al Kohlman
