Question:
Hello. Any detailed information you can provide on this Minnesota Stoneware Company 2-gallon salt glazed crock would be appreciated. It is 9 3/8" tall and 10" across and appears to be hand made (coiled) and the cobalt decoration appears hand applied. The inside appears to be Albany slip with a swirled pattern on the bottom. Raised letters encircling the bottom read "Minnesota Stoneware Company" and "Red Wing". Any other questions just let me know. Thanks! Bob
Answer: Bob, you have a Minnesota Stoneware Company 2 gallon double P salt glazed crock which is bottom signed. It was produced somewhere between 1883 & 1895. In mint condition the value is around $125. Al Kohlman
