Question:
I have a large crock with the red wing symbol and the number 6 on it. It is in good condition. The piece does say Union in the little oval. It is about the size of a 5 gal bucket, but it does have a crack on the back side that runs from the lip about half way down. The crack goes all the way through the crock. Can it be repaired? Does it have any value? It has the red wing and the #6 on it. Wendy

Answer: Wendy, the crack on your 6 gallon Red Wing crock hurts it’s value quite a bit. $25 to $30. If you use a liquid super glue on the crack and tighten up the crock with a tourniquet for 24 hours, it will secure the crack. Al Kohlman
